For the Protein:
1/2 lb beef sirloin or filet, thinly sliced
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Pink Sauce:
2 tbsp unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup white wine (optional, or use chicken broth)
1 cup marinara sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For Serving:
12 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne), cooked and drained
Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Directions
Cook the Beef and Shrimp
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef slices and shrimp with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Sear the beef for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
Prepare the Pink Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in white wine (or chicken broth) to deglaze the pan. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Add marinara sauce and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper.
Combine Everything
Return the beef and shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes until warmed through.
Serve
Toss the sauce and protein with the cooked pasta, or serve over rice. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil. Enjoy warm!
