🌿 Cilantro Jalapeño Dip (Creamy Style)

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, packed (leaves + tender stems)

  • 1–2 jalapeños, stems removed

    • Remove seeds for mild, keep for spicy

  • ½ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

  • 1–2 cloves garlic

  • 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • ¼ tsp ground cumin (optional but great)

  • 2–4 Tbsp water or milk (to thin, as needed)


🥣 Instructions

  1. Prep the jalapeños

    • Slice and remove seeds if you want less heat.

  2. Blend everything

    • Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor.

    • Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping sides as needed.

  3. Adjust consistency & seasoning

    • Add water or milk a tablespoon at a time until desired thickness.

    • Taste and adjust salt or lime juice.

  4. Chill (optional but recommended)

    • Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes for best flavor.


🌮 Serving Ideas

  • Drizzle over tacos, burrito bowls, or quesadillas

  • Serve as a dip for tortilla chips or fries

  • Use as a sauce for grilled chicken, shrimp, or veggies

  • Spread on sandwiches or wraps


🔥 Variations

  • Avocado Cilantro Jalapeño Dip: Add 1 ripe avocado

  • Vegan Version: Use vegan mayo + dairy-free yogurt

  • Extra Tangy: Add 1–2 Tbsp white vinegar

  • Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of cayenne or a serrano pepper
