Cinnamon Sugar Butter Cake Bars

Ingredients
Cake
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (120 ml) whole milk
Cinnamon Sugar Topping
- ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. Make the Batter
- Beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3–4 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until combined.
3. Bake
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
4. Add the Cinnamon Sugar
- While the cake is still warm, brush the top with the melted butter.
- Mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
- Sprinkle evenly over the cake.
5. Cool and Serve
- Let cool for about 20 minutes.
- Cut into 16 squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
