Easy Chicken Gyoza

Ingredients

1 1-inch knob ginger, grated

1 tbsp finely diced scallions

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp soy sauce

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

Miscellaneous:

1 12-oz package gyoza wrappers (about 30 wrappers)

 c water

Avocado oil for frying


Instructions

Make the Sauce: Mix rice vinegar, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped scallion, and sesame oil in a bowl. Set aside.

Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, finely diced scallions, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Assemble Gyoza: Lay out gyoza wrappers. Spoon 1 tablespoon of filling into the center of each wrapper. Brush edges with water, fold over, and pinch to seal.

Cook Gyoza: Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add gyoza in a single layer. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown. Then flip and cook the other side.

Serve: Remove the gyoza from the skillet. Serve hot with the gyoza sauce.
