Garlic Butter Baked Scallops
🥣 Ingredients:
- 500g scallops (cleaned, patted dry)
- 3 tbsp butter (melted)
- 3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice 🍋
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Prep the scallops
- Rinse and pat scallops very dry (important for texture)
- Place them in a lightly greased baking dish
2. Make garlic butter
- In a bowl, mix:
- Melted butter
- Garlic
- Lemon juice
- Salt, pepper, paprika
3. Assemble
- Pour garlic butter mixture over scallops
- In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs + parmesan
- Sprinkle evenly on top
4. Bake
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until:
- Scallops are opaque
- Topping is golden
5. Broil (optional)
- Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispy top
6. Finish
- Garnish with fresh parsley
- Serve immediately
