Garlic Butter Baked Scallops

🥣 Ingredients:

  • 500g scallops (cleaned, patted dry)
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice 🍋
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep the scallops

  • Rinse and pat scallops very dry (important for texture)
  • Place them in a lightly greased baking dish

2. Make garlic butter

  • In a bowl, mix:
    • Melted butter
    • Garlic
    • Lemon juice
    • Salt, pepper, paprika

3. Assemble

  • Pour garlic butter mixture over scallops
  • In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs + parmesan
  • Sprinkle evenly on top

4. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until:
    • Scallops are opaque
    • Topping is golden

5. Broil (optional)

  • Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispy top

6. Finish

  • Garnish with fresh parsley
  • Serve immediately
